Cutting and pickling of quartz glass tube
Customers who purchase long quartz tubes should pay attention to the following during the cutting and pickling process:
1. HF can be used as a reagent for cleaning quartz tubes, of course, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid or other combined acids can also be used, the acid concentration is controlled below 5%, and chemical protective equipment is worn for operation;
2. Strictly control the acid concentration and time to prevent the quartz tube from being washed (that is, devitrification) or not cleaned. Therefore, check the acid concentration every 8 hours.
3. The water used to clean the quartz tube must be purified deionized water. If the quartz surface is not cleaned, it is easy to produce crystallization or acid mist, which will affect the transmittance of the quartz tube;
4. Of course, the waste water containing acid liquid cannot be discharged directly. The simple method is to use plastic pipes to collect the waste water, and then add liquid (or solid) alkali to neutralize it, and discharge it after meeting the environmental protection requirements.
