Quartz glass tubes are more widely used in ultraviolet lamps. But in fact, there are many materials for the ultraviolet lamp of the ultraviolet weather resistant test box, and the performance characteristics caused by different materials are also different. First of all, if it is a quartz glass tube material. Ultraviolet germicidal lamp (UV lamp) is actually a kind of low-pressure mercury lamp in the ultraviolet weather resistant test chamber. Like ordinary fluorescent lamps, it emits ultraviolet rays after being excited by low-pressure mercury vapor (<10-2Pa). Generally, the lamp tube of the germicidal lamp is made of quartz glass, because the quartz glass of the ultraviolet weather resistant test chamber has a high transmittance of 80%-90% for each band of ultraviolet rays. It is the material for the germicidal lamp. Although quartz is more expensive, all mercury vapor lamps used for UV polymerization are made of quartz, and the lamp caps are mostly bakelite, plastic or ceramic.
For high borax glass tube materials, due to the different cost and use, high borax glass tubes with an ultraviolet transmittance of <50% can also be used instead of quartz glass. The production process of high boron glass is the same as that of energy-saving lamps, so the cost is very low, but its performance in the ultraviolet weather resistance test chamber is far inferior to the ultraviolet germicidal lamp made of quartz glass tube, and its sterilization effect is quite different. The ultraviolet light intensity of the high boron lamp tube is easily attenuated. After hundreds of hours of lighting, the ultraviolet light intensity drops drastically to 50%-70% of the initial value. After the quartz lamp is ignited for 2000-3000 hours, the ultraviolet intensity is only reduced to 80%-70% of the initial ultraviolet weather resistance test box, and the light decay degree is far less than that of the high boron lamp.
If it is ordinary glass, the ordinary glass used in this YSL ultraviolet weather resistant test box with higher ultraviolet light transmission is much higher than high boron glass, slightly lower than quartz glass, and the light decay is still greater than that of quartz germicidal lamps, and Cannot produce ozone.
